Classes

On Sunday I had another lovely day. I woke up around 1 pm and hung around until lunch at 2. My host parents and I then went to my host mom's sisters for lunch with her family. Her sister also has a student from Dickinson. All together I think there were 8 of us at the table, and it was a fun time. We ate various types of salads, chicken wings, and shrimp which I had to pull the head off of myself. Definitely a new experience! Afterwards, I went to the beach for the rest of the day.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I had one class each. Classes are at the main campus which is an hour away which is a bit inconvenient but overall fine. These classes are only with Dickinson students, so they make them a bit easier on us because of the language barrier. I'm nervous about my fourth class because I think it will be difficult to pick up everything that native students will. The classes are about 1.5 hours twice a week or 3 hours once a week. The only homework for the week was reading and answering a few questions for one class-definitely not a typical Dickinson work load. But for now I'm completely content with this.

Since we have a four day weekend, we've planned lots of trips. I'll write back soon!
